Proof I'm Not an SEO expert

In the words of R. Kelly: “It’s the freakin weekend baby. I’m about to have me some fun!”

Today we’re taking a break from the usual all business here at www.jackieadkins.wordpress.com and you get to see how awesome I am at SEO. Take a look with me at the top 3 searches where people found my blog using google (according to wordpress.com’s stats):

In an effort not to further skew these results in the future…I’m going to go Harry Potter on you and refer to the top result as “It which must not be named.” After I typed this, I just realized now I will be a search result for that darn fictional wizard, but at this point, oh well. Anyways, when calculating all variations of “it which must not be named,” we have a total of 192 views based on that search term. How is this possible, you ask? It’s all thanks to this post. If i only knew what I was getting myself into.

It also makes me feel warm inside to know that TO crying is so high on the list.

Apart from these, there are a few other pretty humorous search terms that wordpress has picked up, with probably the best saved for last:

You: What kind of blog is this? Me: I no longer know.

So, any hopes I ever had of ever getting an SEO job just went down the drain. Hope you got a kick out of some of these like I did. If anyone else has some similarly funny search terms their stats program of choice picked up, show us some love in the comments section and share!

Books I clearly have not read.

I've clearly not read the top 4 books

I love it. Maybe you’re SEO wasn’t great for your blog, but I think there’s real promise for a niche Star Wars blog or something. You could sell Star Wars Halloween costumes as an affiliate marketer or something. Maybe you’d be better at affiliate marketing than SEO.

I have a couple of search terms that are kind of funny, but none that dominate like light sabers do your blog. A couple of mine are:

> Play-Doh Shapes
> Making Snow Cones Ahead
> Bass Pro Shops Marketing Cohesive Story (Neat, but don’t think that’s anywhere on my blog)

I’d also like to draw everyone’s attention to the possibly related blog posts: ” Beware of ’Swan Flu’ and Other Common Misspellings”. Hahahaha.

Maybe I should rename my blog “Jedi Marketing” to make it even easier to get some affiliate marketers :)
