I'm not a CSI person, but what about watching entire seasons of The Office? :) I agree with you, though. Use that time to recharge.

Some of the most successful viral campaigns have a central theme and underlying question: "Is this real?" This is what makes everyone take a look.

When marketing a product, especially a product that has little brand awareness, you want people to be asking the same question: "Are the claims made in the advertising real?"

Getting people to question a product or advertisement's reality is an amazing way to build up hype, and these guys have done it extremely well.

In reference to your beard point-- I have been fairly beard-y at times and it did not impact my HORSE game.

I've found there is a fine line between not wasting your time, and needing to spend some time doing something else to rewind.

My thoughts recently are spending quality time. Not wasting it. If I'm going to watch a movie, I'm going to watch it, or play soccer, or do anything. Then I can come back and be refreshed.

But there's time when you don't have to sit there and watch the 45th episode of CSI. (Much like Elisa said already!)

Good point Katie, you can definitely use this perception to your advantage, but you have to be careful not to push your luck and tarnish your brand because people can jump ship pretty quickly on you.

I'm pretty sure the beard somehow helps him make those ridiculous shots. I just don't know how...yet...

Interesting point: It doesn’t matter if your product actually is the “best” product on the market, it only matters if it’s perceived as the top product out there.

I think we see this a lot in branding - if you build a strong enough brand, people will assume all of your products represent that brand and are of the highest caliber. That being said, if you suddenly begin to produce one product that isn't "the best" or even "your best" then you run the risk of tarnishing your brand.

On an unrelated note...dude, those shots are ridiculous. I'm a bit skeptical but I would probably never want to play those guys in a game of HORSE :)
