Analogous Friday: Olé Olé Edition

Howdy, I hope you had a super-duper week and are ready for Super Bowl weekend. My prediction for the big game Sunday is that UNC will pull it together and beat Maryland. Oh, you don’t care about that? Then Colts 34 – Saints 27. Moving on to the goodness that is Analogous Friday…

Guru Ninja Wars

Just someone looks the part, that doesn’t mean that they have the skills to back it up. Ahem…social media guru ninjas. It’s scary to think how someone who just puts on the right hat can trick so many people into think they’re the real deal. The key is that you may get away with it for a while, but, sooner or later, people are going to figure you out.

Streaking is so last year.

Until now, the most entertaining way for someone to get arrested at a sporting event was streaking. Used to, streakers were something you told everyone about seeing, kind of like a wild yeti. Now, they’re a lot like a Lady Gaga song on the radio. They happen all the time and have gotten sort of annoying. This guy, however, was a genius, because he did something I’ve never seen or heard about being done before. The application here should be pretty obvious. Break away from the template and get arrested for doing cool stuff. Wait, what?

Funniest video I've seen all week. Thanks for this man!

oh man! that's so ridiculous! I loved it! hahaha!

I used to wear my Eagles replica jersey to games in Charlotte and once after a Lady Eagles game I was asked for an autograph…and I was 16! lol!

You're right though – you can look the part or mask yourself behind words like ninja or guru or “John the Almighty Social Media Savior” but you can only fool people for so long, you've got to have the skills to back it up! Even if that fake soccer player was semi-decent, if the coach were to put him in a game, I think he'd learn a tough lesson real fast!

Thank you for once again providing us with a wonderful analogous Friday! and I love the new design (in case I haven't told you yet!)

Mission accomplished, my friend. All I can hope for is that these make someone out there smile on a Friday afternoon. Glad you enjoyed it, Carlos!

First of all I never understood the whole ninja craze. If your profile says you're a ninja of anything, doe sthat mean that you kill your competitors without making a noise? Ninjas are cool and everything, but the infatuation with using them for that purpose confuses me.

Thanks for showing some love for the design! And glad Friday's at The Curb continue to entertain :)
