Just a random little diddy for you guys today. Yesterday I had 2 chances to take online relationships offline and they were both amazing. For lunch, I was able to meet with a client who I had only emailed and spoken on the phone with previously. GREAT conversation and so glad to finally meet her. After work, I attended my first CLTweetup and was able to meet a couple people I’d tweeted back and forth and meet even more people I knew nothing about.
I know, I know. Everyone, including me, has already said taking these online relationships offline is where you can really make great things happen. But just let this serve as a friendly reminder to get out there and build REAL relationships. Whether you’re an individual OR a brand.
Because that’s where the magic happens.
So, since we’re on the topic, if any of you guys are ever in Charlotte, NC or nearby, be sure to give me a shout! I will do everything I can to try and meet up with you. If you have no plans of ever coming to Charlotte, well, you’re missing out, but shoot me an e-mail and let’s set up a Skype call to talk about anything under the sun (sports, marketing, the weather, music, you name it).
Blogging and tweeting is good and all, but let’s take our relationship to the next level (and I mean that in the least creepy way possible
).

The internet, blogging, Social Media – it should never be the end result – and always seen as a tool to initiate (and over time nurture) those “real” face to face relationships. Great point my friend.
Fo shizzle. For a long time I didn't really think Charlotte had much of a social media scene, but now I know i just wasn't looking really. Looking forward to plugging into it a bit more in order to build and nurture some of those relationships, as you mentioned. Thanks for dropping by and commenting!
