Don’t Call it a Comeback

So long 2013, and hello to 2014!

While I can’t make any promises, I’m going to make a concerted effort to get on here and post more frequently this year. The good news is I set the bar very low in 2013, so “more frequently” shouldn’t be hard to achieve.

For the past year or so, I’ve felt like there was so much “noise” out there that I didn’t want to contribute to it unless I had something that I felt was truly original or insightful to say. I still think that’s the case, but selfishly, it’s nice to just have a place to put my thoughts on paper, challenging me to think through them a bit more. Hopefully I can learn from others more often as a result.

…and maybe I’ll spruce this joint up a bit while I’m at it–it’s in need of some fresh paint.

So, Happy New Year to you, and I look forward to spending some more time with you in 2014!

Good to see you back on the horse, hombre! I’ve always enjoyed your insights and look forward to reading what you have in store for 2014.

I agree that the blogosphere is significantly more noisy than it was when we first cut our teeth trying to get on Top 10 Gen Y Blogger lists. Ha!

But like you, I find that taking the time to get some thoughts down on paper (the blog) and then put them out there for critique/conversation often helps me think through things that have been circulating around the cranium.

It also serves as a way to look back through archives and connect thoughts and ideas that have the potential to impact or influence future decisions.

Thanks bud! I agree, the hardest part is just getting started. I feel like once I can do that, I’ll be able to build some momentum and the ideas will start flowing a bit more freely.

      Appreciate the encouragement!
