I’m a young marketer who enjoys helping brands connect with customers by reaching them at their passion points. Right now, I’m doing this in the world of sports using social media. At GMR Marketing, I help my client, Lowe’s Home Improvement, build loyalty among its customers through its sports sponsorships, driving sales. Most of this comes through my management of Lowe’s Racing’s social media channels, where our team has built one of the most engaged communities in NASCAR surrounding a brand.
How did I get here? I went to school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), studying business with a marketing concentration. It took a few classes and a summer internship at Wachovia to realize that my math skills didn’t translate into an interest in accounting or finance, but through some great professors, challenging projects, and volunteering with the sports marketing team in the athletic department, I eventually discovered my love for marketing. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great clients and brands including ESPN, the ACC, Lowe’s, Old Spice, Penn State, and McGladrey.
I’m based out of Charlotte, where I live with my lovely wife. I love to read, watch movies, and travel. I’m also a HUGE soccer fanatic, so if you ever want to chat about the world’s most popular game, give me a shout!
